ughhhh

so much going on my head is spinning.  i still have yet to fully recuperate from vegas.  i think i slept a total of 6 hours from thursday night to sunday.  come to think of it, i didn't eat much either.  only real meals i remember were a chili dog, bally's big kitchen and half a chipotle burrito.  wow, i guess i was inadvertent;y starved myself.  i also drank a ton though.  countless red bull vodkas and a cool guy that i was playing black jack with at harrah's introduced me to.  the colorado bulldog.  vodka, kahlua, milk and coke.  good stuff.  ok....  i just fuggin fell asleep writing this entry.  no good.

autobots, ROLL OUT!

had a sweet azz day yesterday.  went to the taste after work with my team.  it was somewhat frustrating because we had to walk all the way around the booths so we could see everything.  i wanted to make a beeline straight to the bbq turkey legs, but took the loop around.  i'm pretty glad that i did since i got to try a few things that i hadn't before.  walking towards the legs i picked up samples of mustard fried catfish, cajun corn on the cob, creole chicken and waffles (not recommended) and my new favorite sandwich, the jibarito.  the "bread" was fried plantains, it had steak, cheese and garlic sauce.  the sample size was pretty decent and it was damn tasty.  new favorite sandwich fo sho!  i finally got my turkey leg like an hour after we got there and damn was it worth it.  if only thanksgiving turkey was that good.  i managed to only get a small drop of sauce on me.  not bad!  headed home pretty early.

after working out i gor a dope azz surprise.  a friend had an extra ticket to transformers!  i wasn't planning on watching it until after vegas this weekend, but i couldn't pass on the opportunity.  opening night!  so i get in about 30 min early and the theater is packed.  me and a few guys commence our nerd-speak about transformers, he-man and g.i. joe.  the general consensus was that the next 80's cartoon movie should be M.A.S.K. or thundercats.  after getting the inner geek out for a while the movie started.  i have to say. i honestly liked it.  our group was of mixed opinion, but it was about a 50/50 split.  good stuff.  i don't want to say too much in case you were thinking about checking it out.

so what's the plan for tonight?  was considering a few different options.  720?  reserve?  i dunno.

QOTD:  what are your plans for tonight and for the 4th?

...preparation...

so this should be a pretty fun week.  going to the taste tonight with my team from work.  can't wait ot get a bbq turkey leg.  it'll satisfy my bbq cravings since i won't be making it out to ribfest this year :(  i was too out of it to go yesterday.  saturday was a long night yo!  good times.  supposed to go out tomorrow night as well.  then the 4th then thursday...  VEGAS!!!!!  it's been a while, and i'm really looking forward to it.  got some good plans in the works and there's a gang of people coming.  25 guys!!!  it's gonna be pretty tough getting in clubs, but that's what bottle service is for right?  i absolutely cannot wait.

Godfarger

Happy Monday!

So this past weekend was quite the adventure.  Redjay came into town and as always, it was a great time hanging with him even though it was for just a measly 24 hours.  The reason for his visit and for this post was that we became Godfathers on Sunday.  brownhornet and elecktra were kind enough to put their trust in us to encourage and foster their son, Raphy's spiritual growth.  I was deeply touched.  I've been to alot of Christenings and always was amazed in the thought that is put into choosing Godparents.  I always wanted to be one, and now I am.  Yee haw!  Good thing we weren't late!  Whew!

wow, how long has it been?????

what's up?  it's been so long since ive posted.  i doubt anyone is gonna even read this thing.  been alot of crazy things going on since last time.  but the real reason i was posting was because i want to see cicadas.  i also wanted to complain about not having time to do anything.  no time for much except for spending some time with family, working out, eating, working and a little time for sleep.  don't get me wrong, i do find time to kick back and watch a little tv, but recently, i felt like i haven't had time to do anything else.  haven't turned on my xbox for two months.  yada yada yada.

so back to cicadas.  i dunno, alot of people seem to be seeing them but i haven't seen one single cicada.  i've been spending alot of time at the hospital visiting my lola.  so i pretty much have been hanging out with her and my aunt.  my aunt really wants me to catch cicadas so that she can cook them up adobo or tempura style.  i've read enough in papers and seen on the news that the red-eyed critters actually taste pretty good.  supposedly they taste like almonds or canned asparagus.  not very appetizing, but i figure hey, if i'm gonna have to wait another 17 years before i can eat one, i might as well try it.

QOTD:  if someone made cicadas for you, and you had someone else confirm that they tasted good, would you eat them?

i prolly would as long as someone else ate one and didn't immediately spit it out or vomit.
